My art, like my personality, is very much romantic, highly aesthetic and a little indulgent. I strive to convey my own sense of pleasure and satisfaction I gain from capturing the world’s natural beauty.

As a Libran, my attention is often drawn to beautiful things – I love nature and the enormity of it’s beauty. Many of my current paintings focus on this subject matter created using acrylics with a variation of brush techniques. I am looking forward to experimenting with other mediums as a means of meditation and relief from the repetitive nature of daily life. Having been labelled a ‘dreamer’, I take this title in my stride, which only serves to enhance my escape into a world where brush and paint rule.

 

I was awarded First Prize in the Abstract/Contemporary category at the 2016 Stanthorpe Agricultural Society Annual Show for the work entitled “Pieces of You”, and was awarded Highly Commended for the painting “A Rose is still a Rose” in the overall fine art category. Then in 2017, again I was awarded First Prize in the Abstract/Contemporary category in the same competition.

 

I look forward to creating works of art which many people from all ages can enjoy. I envision painting for many years to come, as I feel to have only just touched the surface when I recently took up the brush again. Enjoy!
